A record of an association shows a financial link that you have with someone, and will appear on an entry in your credit report. These financial links are created by;
The information contained on your credit file will show details of the person you are financially linked to, the name of the company which created the link, and the date that the link was created. Lenders may also see the financial information relating to the aassociate or linked person. This allows lenders to assess your credit application using all the relevant information. Information of associates is held on record indefinitely. Lenders can take account of the financial information of an associate when deciding upon whether to give you credit.

I Disagree With The Information Recorded - What Do I Do?The quickest way to get information amended on your credit file is to contact the source of the information. Each entry on your credit report will contain details of its source. There is usually a list of useful addresses on your credit file (Recent lenders etc). If the information was provided by a lender then contact them first and make a request to have that information updated with the credit agencies. If that fails then contact the credit agencies directly.
