How to add a Notice Of Correction to your Credit Report

To add a notice of correction to an entry on your credit report you must contact the credit agency with which you wish to add the entry. Its good practice to draft the entry and send it to all three credit agencies in the UK. This is because a lender can go to any of the three agencies to search your credit file in the event of you making a credit application. The three agencies are Experian, Equifax and CallCredit.

Writing a Notice Of Correction

A notice of correction should be under 200 words in length, precise, and to the point. In your draft to the credit agencies you should state which entry you would like the notice to be added to. This is the entry that you would like to shed light upon. When a lender searches your credit report and see's the entry, it will be taken into consideration when assessing your application for credit.
